🎖️ Grand Parade Celebrates 50 Years of Vietnam’s Reunification

On April 30, 2025, Vietnam proudly marked the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification with a spectacular military parade and mass procession held at Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi. This historic event honored the heroic journey toward peace and independence, commemorating the day in 1975 when the nation was once again united after decades of struggle.

The celebration brought together thousands of military personnel, public security forces, veterans, youth organizations, and civilians in a moving display of patriotism and unity. With flag formations, ceremonial salutes, and modern military equipment on full display, the parade paid tribute to the resilience and sacrifices of past generations while showcasing the strength and modernization of today’s Vietnam.

Led by top Party and State leaders, the event was not only a solemn remembrance of national history but also a forward-looking affirmation of Vietnam’s commitment to peace, prosperity, and national dignity. Accompanied by live music, traditional performances, and vibrant cultural banners, the parade captured the pride of a people and the legacy of a milestone that shaped the country’s destiny.

April 19, 26, 29 & 30	Nguyen Hue Blvd, Le Loi Blvd, Bach Dang Wharf	“Colors of Uncle Ho’s City” Festival – Light mapping shows, drone choreography, traditional folk dances, jetpack performances, and sailboat parades along the Saigon River.
April 25 (8:00 PM – 11:00 PM)	Le Duan Boulevard near Reunification Palace	Rehearsal Parade – Full-dress nighttime rehearsal with military marching units and floats.
April 27 (7:00 AM – Noon)	Same as above	Final Parade Rehearsal – All units including military, public security, and youth teams in full sequence.
April 30 (06:30 AM onward)	Le Duan Blvd & Reunification Palace Square	Official State Parade & Celebration – Featuring flag salute, military formations, marching columns, flyovers, and cultural floats with nationwide broadcast.
April 30 (9:00 PM – 9:15 PM)	Saigon River, Landmark 81, Thu Thiem Tunnel & 30+ locations citywide	Fireworks & Drone Light Show – Spectacular synchronized display of over 10,000 drones and nationwide fireworks salute.
